PLC Tennis Policies - Match Play

  • LOCATION

    PLC Match Play sessions are run at Ivanhoe Tennis Club: Corner of Young & John Street, Ivanhoe, 3079.

    This occurs as Tennis Works is not able to hire courts on site at PLC on weekends.

  • PARENTS - Drop Off/Pick-Up

    Givent the current COVID-19 environment we live in, parents collecting players from the tennis courts must:

    • Maintain 1.5m distance at all times
    • Check in via the QR codes at the gate
    • Sanitise hands
    • Wear face masks
  • EXTREME WEATHER

    We have allocated an additional 2 Saturday mornings each term in case of wash outs/extreme weather. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide as much notice as possible if a cancellation is called. 


    If you do not receive a message confirming the cancellation of the session, it will be going ahead.


    If a session is cancelled, another session will be made available on subsequent Saturday mornings and it will be up to the player to attend. 


    Refunds will not be given for sessions missed.


    If a session goes ahead amid inclement weather but not all matches can be played, no refunds or credits will be made available.


    Extreme weather will be declared in the event of

    • Flooded Courts
    • Lightning
    • Temperature exceeding 38.1 degrees Celcius
  • Make-Up Lessons

    Make-Up lessons for missed Match Play Sessions can be scheduled at PLC during our regular Lunchtime lessons.

  • Missed Sessions

    Customers are not entitled to refunds & or credits for sessions missed during the term.

  • Sun Smart

    Players are strongly encouraged to

    • Bring (& wear) a hat
    • Apply sunscreen
    • Bring a water bottle

    As the temperatures increase coaches will:

    • Increase the frequency of water breaks
    • Ensure players utilise shade where possible
    • Decrease the intensity of the session allowing players to manage their energy.
    • If players are feeling light headed or ill we will ensure they sit in the shade and drink plenty of water.
  • COVID Lockdowns

    If a session is cancelled due to COVID lockdowns, Tennis Works will offer the below options for the customer

    • A full refund for sessions missed
    • A credit applied to your account equal to the value of the sessions missed
    • Make-up sessions made available for you to opt into if you choose
    • A combination of make-up lessons, credits/refunds

  • No Pay, No Play

    To be eligible to participate in 'Term' Tennis Lessons Tennis Works requires payment prior to the commencement of my first session. No pay, no play.
