YVG COMPETITION SQUADS
TECHNICAL AND TACTICAL, WE BALANCE THE TWO

Our Competition squads are formulated to encourage players to start thinking tactically about the game. By this time players will hopefully be playing some form of matches, allowing them to engage in cooperative hitting and competitive point play. We will still ensure a high volume of ball fed drills, keeping each session fun and interactive.

Sessions run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, 4:30 - 5:30pm at Yarra Valley Grammar.

Competition Squad FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.
  • My Son/Daughter is in Primary School. Do I have to pick up/drop off for this session?

No. Players in Primary School will be under our supervision from the end of school. They are required to come to the tennis courts after school and wait by the tennis courts. They can have a hit of tennis, use the Netball courts, Hockey Pitch or just sit back and relax.

  • My Son/Daughter is in Senior School. Do I have to pick up/drop off for this session?

No. Players in Senior School are welcome to wait near the courts or in the school library until their session starts.

  • What happens if it rains?

In the event of wet weather we will continue our session under cover on the Blue Courts next to the ELC Centre.

  • I don't have much tennis experience, can I still try?

    Yes.

We provide plenty of technical feedback in these sessions, if you haven't had much experience we will ensure to get you up to speed to engage with the open hitting in no time.
